After graduating from the University of Alberta with a Finance degree, Andrew joined a buy-side money management firm in Edmonton (Gold Investment Management) and spent four years in trading, research, and portfolio management. He then joined the institutional equity research team at a boutique investment bank in Calgary (Salman Partners) and covered international Exploration & Production companies. Afterwards, Andrew joined Enbridge in Calgary and worked closely with Business Development and other groups analyzing multibillion-dollar pipeline investment opportunities and advised the Board of Directors on economics. Following that he joined Murphy Oil and worked with upper management in Calgary and Houston on asset valuation, investments, markets, and strategy. Andrew then led corporate development at an energy technology company (Energera) and focused on mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, corporate strategy, corporate finance, strategic planning, and investor relations. He then led execution of M&A and financing mandates at a boutique investment bank in Calgary (Fort Capital Partners). Afterwards, Andrew led Finance & Development at Orangetheory Fitness Canada, focused on raising debt and equity financing, acquiring studios, and opening new locations across Canada. Most recently, Andrew led origination and growth of institutional investor relationships for KV Capital, an alternative investment fund manager in Edmonton.
Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his family, learning, reading, practicing stoicism, weight-lifting, biking, tennis, and chess.
